Mark 14:  43-46     Jesus is betrayed by Judas and arrested

Now, the traitor had arranged a signal with them, saying, “The one I kiss, he is the man.  Arrest him, and see he is well guarded when you lead him away.

So when the traitor came, he went up to him at once and said, ‘Rabbi!’, and kissed him.

Open my heart to love of love
The breath of God
Whisper the spirit to me.
The kiss of the world is not my friend
The leaves of the trees are silent but they heed Your call
And fall at Your command
The breath of Thy kiss
Whispers the breeze
And my desert soul is moulded.
